A constantly expanding national network of protected areas

The network under the supervision of the Direction des Aires Marines Communautaires Protégées (DAMCP) currently comprises seventeen (17) protected areas, including fifteen (15) Aires Marines Protégées (AMP) and two (02) Réserves Naturelles Communautaires (RNC), covering a total surface area of 739,290 hectares.
